Meet Creative Art Therapist Kate!

Kate Walsh
Art Therpist
Kate Walsh is a registered art therapist with IACAT- Irish Association of
Creative Arts Therapists since 2014 and has been working as an art therapist
mainly with children and teenagers in private practice and schools since then.
Kate was on the IACAT council for three years where she took part in many events
and committees. Fighting for change and more rights for creative arts therapists in Ireland and IACAT members.

In her work she uses the creative process as a way for the client to deal with their inner and outer world and to make sense of this.
Kate facilitates her clients to be the best version of themselves and uses gentle interventions and approaches. She is there to guide them and lead them through their process and is very creative in her approach.

She ensures that her clients are getting the best service and support possible and when working with children and
teenagers ensures she is supporting the parent(s)/guardian(s) also.

This is very important to her and an integral part of her practice and service
She is kind and always there to listen and support her clients from any age group.

Qualifications:
- • BA in fine art (ceramics) GMIT Galway
- • Fetac Level 5 Certificate in Fashion Buying and Merchandising Crumlin College Dublin
- • Masters of arts in art therapy Crawford college of art and design Cork
- • Fetac level 5 & 6 in Special needs assistant Progressive college Dublin
